Brewer Anheuser-Busch and the White House have launched a campaign to get as many Americans as possible vaccinated against Covid-19 by Independence Day (4 July).

Several parts of the US are in a pivotal transition phase, so the brewer is doubling down on its pledge to connect with consumers and help lead a safe recovery by encouraging them to get their vaccines. An enticement is the company’s biggest ever beer giveaway, part of Anheuser-Busch’s Let’s Grab A Beer initiative.

“We are excited to buy Americans who are 21+ a round of beer when we reach the White House goal,” said CEO Michel Doukeris. “As we look ahead to brighter days with renewed optimism, we are proud to work alongside the White House to make a meaningful impact for our country.”

‘Tangible actions’ from Anheuser-Busch

When the nation reaches the White House’s goal of 70% of adults partially vaccinated, Anheuser-Busch says it will buy America’s next round of beer, seltzer, non-alcoholic beverage or other company product – inclusive of over 100 brands – via a virtual $5 debit card. Adults simply upload a picture of themselves in their favourite place to grab a beer at MyCooler.com/Beer to be eligible.

“Since last March, we’ve been focused on pivoting all our plans in order to ensure that our brands remained relevant and meaningful, through tangible actions,” said Anheuser-Busch CMO Marcel Marcondes. “It makes sense that we would unite our full portfolio and take this action to encourage people to get vaccinated. There’s never been a better time to be able to say, ‘let’s grab a beer’.”
