SIAL India has rapidly cemented its reputation as one of the country’s most influential B2B platforms for the food and beverage industry. Bringing together global suppliers, buyers, decision-makers, and innovators, the event offers an unmatched stage for showcasing the latest trends, fostering partnerships, and driving sector-wide growth.

Following a landmark edition in Delhi in December 2024, the show is now preparing for a powerful double feature in 2025, with upcoming editions in Mumbai (28–30 August) and a return to Delhi (11–13 September). As the Indian food market expands at an unprecedented pace, SIAL India continues to be a catalyst for both domestic and international business success.

A landmark edition in Delhi

The 2024 edition of SIAL India, held at Yashobhoomi in Dwarka, Delhi, brought together over 300 exhibitors and more than 8,500 trade visitors, representing a dynamic cross-section of the industry. Supported by India’s Ministry of Food Processing Industries and APEDA, the event was inaugurated by a high-level delegation of international dignitaries, underlining its global relevance. Exhibitors showcased cutting-edge solutions in processed foods, beverages, organic products, and packaging technologies—many of them competing in the prestigious SIAL Innovation programme, which spotlighted 42 breakthrough products from 21 exhibitors.

Beyond the exhibition floor, the La Cuisine space brought Indian culinary excellence to life with live cooking demonstrations led by top chefs, while the SIAL Conferences offered a rich platform for sharing insights into sustainability, market trends, and food tech. The show also included a Hosted Buyer Programme designed to create efficient, high-value meetings between key decision-makers. With a strong emphasis on innovation and international collaboration, the Delhi edition reaffirmed India’s role as a major player in the global food ecosystem.

Mumbai: A strategic stage for growth

Building on the momentum of the Delhi edition, SIAL India returns to Mumbai from 28–30 August 2025, reaffirming its role as a key business platform in India’s commercial capital. Mumbai, with its vast network of over 141,000 restaurants and a food services market valued at approximately €6.06 billion, remains the ideal gateway for domestic and international brands aiming to expand across India.

This thriving metropolis has consistently proven to be fertile ground for food and beverage professionals to explore innovation, forge new partnerships, and access one of the country’s most dynamic consumer markets. More than 350 exhibitors and over 8,000 trade attendees are expected this year, representing sectors such as retail, foodservice, and international trade.

Mumbai’s unmatched connectivity and cosmopolitan culture continue to align perfectly with SIAL’s global vision. As India’s food processing industry heads towards an output of €486 billion by 2025–26 and packaging approaches €31.6 billion by 2030, the city serves as a vital anchor for brands looking to tap into this rapid growth with innovative products, technologies, and services.

Driving growth, innovation and global expansion

SIAL India’s value goes far beyond its impressive scale. Through curated spaces like SIAL Tech and the QSR Taste Zone, the event dives deep into high-capacity production technology and fast-evolving consumer trends. By bringing global exhibitors to Indian soil, the show facilitates direct access to a fast-growing market that is expected to create 9 million new jobs by 2025 and contribute significantly to GDP.

India’s processed food industry already represents 23% of the country’s total exports, and events like SIAL India play a key role in elevating this international potential. With its next chapters in Mumbai and Delhi, the event is set to continue nurturing global partnerships, supporting startups and scale-ups alike, and spotlighting the ideas and innovations that will shape the future of food.

As India’s food landscape evolves, SIAL India remains a vital meeting point for visionaries, suppliers, and stakeholders from across the globe. Whether launching new products, forging business connections, or discovering the next big trend, attendees can expect each edition to offer fresh opportunities to grow alongside one of the world’s most exciting markets.
