In this exclusive interview, Chloe Lai, Communication Manager at Aryze, shares the company’s key takeaways from SIAL Paris 2024. From international visibility to innovation awards, Aryze made a strong impression with Boost It — a 100% natural functional drink made in Mauritius. She reflects on this milestone and unveils the brand’s next steps on the global stage.

Can you tell us about Aryze’s presence at SIAL Paris during the 2024 edition? What were your objectives in participating in this international trade fair?
Our presence at SIAL Paris 2024 marked a strategic step for Aryze in our ambition to promote Aryze’s know-how internationally. As a committed player in the Mauritian food industry for more than 23 years, we seized this opportunity to present our innovative brand, driven by the values of sustainability, naturalness and health. Our objectives were clear: to strengthen our visibility on a global scale, to meet potential partners, and to introduce the international market to Boost It, our 100% natural functional drink made from vegetables and herbs grown on the volcanic lands of Mauritius.

Your product Boost It won the silver medal at the SIAL Innovation Awards 2024. What do you think convinced the jury?
We firmly believe that it was Boost It‘s innovative, natural and committed formula that won over the jury. Our product stands out for its clear positioning: a functional and 100% natural drink, without additives, which meets a growing demand for healthy, authentic and sustainable products.

Its star ingredient, Moringa, is a superfood recognised for its exceptional nutritional properties. Combined with other ingredients such as mint and apple, it produces a revitalising, refreshing and environmentally friendly drink. A real innovation in the global FMCG sector, driven by Mauritius!

How would you describe Boost It in a few words? What is its added value in the market?
Boost It is a healthy drink accessible to all.
This range of 100% natural drinks is made without added sugar or preservatives, using local ingredients carefully selected for their nutritional benefits.
Its added value lies in its authenticity, the Mauritian origin of the Moringa, grown on mineral-rich volcanic soil, and its positive impact on a healthy lifestyle.
Boost It meets the dual expectations of the modern consumer: to consume better, while supporting a more responsible economy that favours short supply chains.

What did this recognition mean for Aryze, in terms of both visibility and commercial development?
This silver medal represents much more than international recognition: it is a real validation of our know-how and our commitment to offering healthier and more responsible alternatives in the consumer goods sector.

It has enabled Boost It – and through it, Aryze – to gain visibility and credibility, while opening up new commercial prospects, particularly in markets that are receptive to natural and functional products.

It is also a source of pride for Mauritius, because this distinction shows that innovation can come from a small island, with nutritious resources, passion and a global vision. A big thank you to SIAL for this opportunity and for highlighting projects with meaning and impact.

After this great showcase at SIAL, what are the next steps for Boost It and more broadly for Aryze?
Boost It is now entering a new phase of its development, with the ambition of exporting more to markets sensitive to natural products and superfoods, particularly in Europe, Asia and Africa.

At Aryze, we are pursuing our mission: to offer healthy products designed for the world. Our objective is to strengthen our presence in the Indian Ocean region while consolidating strategic international partnerships.

In addition, other innovations are in the pipeline, always in line with our desire to prioritise well-being and contribute to a more responsible consumption pattern. We believe that health and local innovation can transform consumption habits worldwide. And this is just the beginning.
