CNIEL and SIAL Paris: the dairy industry at the heart of the food transition
CNIEL and SIAL Paris are joining forces to promote the commitments of the French dairy sector. As global consumption of dairy products continues to rise, the Cheese and Dairy Products trade Show has announced its new dates: 7 to 9 June 2026 in Paris!
A strategic partnership for a sector of excellence
Created in 1974, CNIEL (Centre National Interprofessionnel de l’Économie Laitière) brings together milk producers, private companies, cooperatives and distributors around a common ambition: to build a sustainable, high-performing sector that is firmly rooted in its territories. Alongside SIAL Paris, CNIEL highlights the industry’s efforts to meet growing expectations in terms of quality, ethics and the environment. France, the world’s fourth largest cheese exporter, continues to play a major role thanks to its long-standing commitment to quality and its constant adaptation to societal and regulatory changes. The celebration of CNIEL’s 50th anniversary and SIAL Paris’ 60th anniversary in 2024 illustrates this long-standing commitment to innovation and excellence.
The dairy industry faces the challenges of the food transition
The global dairy sector is currently facing a double challenge: meeting the continuous increase in demand (expected to rise by 14% between 2023 and 2032) while accelerating the transition to more sustainable production models. Through greenhouse gas emission reduction programmes, animal welfare improvement plans and a strong commitment to biodiversity, CNIEL and its partners are taking action across the entire value chain, from farm to fork. In France, pioneering initiatives such as ‘France Terre de Lait’ guarantee milk free of antibiotic residues, while 100% of farms are assessed on animal welfare criteria. These efforts also respond to consumer demand: 63% of consumers prefer to buy products with a low environmental impact.
Save the date !
In a rapidly changing environment, trade shows play a key role in bringing together stakeholders and sharing best practices. Following a promising 2024 edition of SIAL Paris (19-23 October), the Cheese and Dairy Products Show will return to Paris from 7 to 9 June 2026. This unmissable event will showcase the sector’s innovations, strengthen international synergies and promote healthy, sustainable and responsible food. For CNIEL and SIAL Paris, these events are much more than commercial showcases: they are platforms for collective commitment to the food of the future, capable of combining taste, positive impact and economic development.
