SIAL Paris: An anchor event with global reach

Among the most emblematic events in Comexposium’s portfolio, SIAL Paris stands out as a symbol of the Group’s vision and expertise. In 2024, the show celebrated its 60th anniversary with a record-breaking edition that welcomed 285,000 professionals, including nearly 80% from outside France. With 7,500 exhibitors and 400,000 products across ten sectors, SIAL Paris has become a global benchmark for innovation in the food industry.

Held under the High Patronage of the French President, SIAL Paris 2024 brought together 110 official delegations, 50 ambassadors, and nearly 20 ministers, affirming its role in shaping the future of global food systems. The show highlighted key challenges facing the agri-food sector, such as sustainability, food safety, and inclusion.

The “Own the Change” theme encouraged stakeholders to explore the future of food through conferences, awards, and networking events. SIAL Innovation recognised trailblazing products, while SIAL For Change spotlighted companies integrating CSR across their operations. From regional gastronomy to cutting-edge alt-proteins, SIAL showcased how food innovation can align with sustainability and culture—while driving economic impact for Paris and beyond.

Impact on communities

Beyond the events themselves, Comexposium’s activities generate meaningful value for local and global communities. Each show becomes a catalyst for business development, knowledge exchange, and economic growth. In Paris alone, major events such as SIAL and Wine Paris drive tourism, job creation, and visibility for regional industries.

The Group also invests in employability and education through partnerships with training institutions and career platforms. Initiatives like SIAL Jobs or Vinexposium’s trade missions create long-term bridges between generations of professionals.

Digital tools further support this mission, offering free access to sector insights, trends, and interviews. Whether it’s the WhatsApp-based SIAL Newsfeed or the immersive journeys of Vinexpo Explorer, Comexposium extends the event experience to serve its communities all year round.

Comexposium’s environmental strategy focuses on reusing infrastructure, minimising waste, and reducing carbon emissions. Events are increasingly paperless, logistics are shared across shows, and catering services favour local, seasonal menus. The Group also carries out carbon assessments to better understand and reduce its environmental footprint.

On a human level, Comexposium fosters a strong internal culture of inclusion, training, and well-being. With 87% of staff expressing pride in working for the company, employee engagement remains a central pillar. Events like the “Convention France” bring together hundreds of colleagues to share experiences, align values, and celebrate successes.
