SIAL China celebrates 60 years with exhibitions in Shanghai and Shenzhen in 2024
In 2024, the SIAL is set to mark its 60th anniversary with a dual-city exposition in China.
This edition will unfold in two of China’s cities: Shanghai and Shenzhen. Scheduled from 28-30 May 2024 in Shanghai and later from 2-4 September 2024 in Shenzhen, this event underscores SIAL’s enduring legacy and its evolution into an international platform for industry professionals.
Shanghai: a hub for global food and beverage trends
The Shanghai New International Expo Center will host SIAL Shanghai from May 28–30, 2024. Occupying 200,000 square meters, the event is set to feature 5,000 exhibitors and attract over 180,000 professionals globally. Visitors to SIAL Shanghai can expect to explore a range of Highlight Sectors, including Babyfood Village, Organic & Wellness Village, Dairy Sector, Non-alcoholic Beverage Sector, General Food Sector, Meat Poultry & Cured Meat Sector, Seafood Sector, and Alcoholic Beverage Sector. In addition to these, national and regional pavilions will provide insights into various countries’ unique food and beverage offerings.
The event will also host the SIAL Global Food Industry Summit, comprising nine sub-forums on topics such as global retail trends, food supply chains, and the future of food technology. Additional activities, including SIAL Innovation, La Cuisine, and the Snacking Awards, aim to provide a comprehensive view of current and emerging trends in the food and beverage industry.
Shenzhen: focusing on innovation and international connections
SIAL Shenzhen, scheduled for September 2-4, 2024 at the Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center, will cover 60,000 square meters and anticipates the participation of over 1,500 exhibitors and 67,000 professionals. This exhibition will focus on three Highlight Villages: Chinese Food & Beverage Village, International Food & Beverage Village, and International Meat Village.
Like its Shanghai counterpart, SIAL Shenzhen will feature the SIAL Global Food Industry Summit with five subforums. These forums will cover diverse aspects of the food and beverage industry, including new retail concepts, supply chain management, and international market exploration. The event also includes activities like SIAL Innovation and the Snacking Awards, providing attendees with insights into the latest industry developments.
As SIAL China commemorates its 60th anniversary in 2024, these exhibitions in Shanghai and Shenzhen offer visitors an opportunity to engage with a wide spectrum of the food and beverage sector. Both locations will serve as platforms for industry professionals and enthusiasts to connect, explore new market trends, and gain insight into the future directions of the global food and beverage industry.
