Gourmet Selection and the Cheese and dairy products show, two specialised events from the SIAL Network
Beyond SIAL Paris, the SIAL Network organises a host of food industry shows around the world throughout the year
Two of the SIAL Network’s more specialised events are Gourmet Selection, centred on delicatessen and specialty shop products, and the Cheese and dairy products show, dedicated exclusively to cheeses and dairy products.
Gourmet Selection has become an essential rendezvous for anyone working in the fine foods sector and is the only specialised trade show offering such a wide range of value-added gourmet products. Aimed at premium or specialist retail, gourmet food sections in department stores, and commercial catering, the show, this year in its 11th edition, continues to grow every year.
Held last month in Paris, Gourmet Selection 2024 welcomed 4,550 professionals and 302 exhibitors representing 427 brands, 42% of which were companies new to the show and 28% from abroad. 49% of Gourmet Selection 2024’s French visitors were from the country’s regions whereby 51% came from the greater Paris area. International visitors represented 11% and came mostly from Belgium, Italy, Spain, Great Britain, the United States, and Japan.
Beyond the products showcased at exhibitors’ stands, attendees were treated to a full programme of workshops and conferences and the show awarded innovations in its “Best Of” and “Quintessences” competitions. The next edition of Gourmet Selection will be held from 21 to 22 September, 2025.
The Cheese and dairy products show has built a solid international reputation as one of the sector’s leading trade shows. With the core objective of championing high-quality cheeses and dairy products, the event, in its 18th edition in 2024, has never ceased to attract an ever-larger number of professionals. This year, the show, held in February, saw 290 exhibitors representing 448 brands from 15 countries.
Among these exhibitors 40% were from international companies and 34% were new to the show. No less than 8,500 trade visitors attended this year’s edition, including 21% from abroad, representing 60 countries. In addition, the Cheese and dairy products show 2024 also hosted a variety of tasting workshops, the “Coups de Cœur” competition with 183 products from 84 exhibitors representing new products, cheeses, and emblematic dairy products. Another dynamic event was the “Grilled Cheese Challenge.” The next edition of the show will be held in Paris in 2026, from 22 to 24 February.
