FOOD CROWD JOINS AL SILAL INITIATIVE TO SUPPORT LOCAL FARMERS

UAE’s first Emirati grocery delivery platform, Food Crowd – a wholly-owned subsidiary of food giant Al Dahra Farms – has affiliated itself with Al Silal, a government initiative, aiming to actively support and promote the UAE’s food security vision. 

The significance of diversifying food sources, and increasing production of locally grown, raised and manufactured food has become ever important. This initiative will ensure the UAE meet its objectives to be self-sufficient; promote food security and the preservation of traditional farming.

Ronald Muzambe, Food Crowd’s Head Of E-Commerce, said the collaboration with Al Silal focuses on increasing produce grown locally, promoting entrepreneurship amongst farmers and providing an e-commerce platform for local produce.
