Greece in full force at SIAL Paris 2024
Greece’s dynamic presence at SIAL Paris 2024 highlighted the strength and innovation of the country’s agri-food sector, featuring over 260 exhibitors. Among them, 120 companies participated under the auspices of Enterprise Greece, the national agency for the promotion of exports and investments, showcasing their offerings in Halls 2, 5A, 5C, and 7.
A robust sector with growing exports
The significant Greek participation reflects the remarkable growth in the country’s food exports, which surpassed €10 billion for the first time in 2023. This milestone demonstrates the resilience of Greece’s agri-food industry amidst global challenges, from economic pressures to climate concerns and geopolitical uncertainty.
Traditions meet innovation
Visitors to the Greek pavilions experienced the best of both worlds—iconic traditional products like olive oil, feta cheese, honey, and yogurt, alongside modern innovations. Established names such as Konstantopoulos S.A. “Olymp”, a family-owned olive oil producer with over 70 years of history, stood out alongside newcomers like Papadim’s Mayonnata, a vegan tahini-based mayonnaise sauce, and Elysian’s premium chocolates. A standout in beverages was Fivetwenty’s American Pale Ale (APA), a European Beer Challenge winner.
Exploring Unique Segments
Greece’s diversity was on full display through companies catering to niche markets. These included:
- Mouriki, a premium honey producer using nomadic beekeeping practices.
- Nutlers, creators of innovative vegan nut butters.
- Traditional producers like Pelopac (table olives and spreads) and Varvayanni Distillery, offering Ouzo with a five-generation legacy.
Across all offerings, Greek companies emphasised sustainable practices, modern packaging, and the health benefits of the Mediterranean diet.
A culinary showcase
Adding to the excitement, renowned Greek Chef Dina Nikolaou delighted attendees in Hall 2 by preparing authentic Greek dishes using exhibitors’ products. Visitors savoured live tastings of exquisite creations, showcasing the rich flavors of Greece.

Greece’s presence at SIAL Paris 2024 not only celebrated the country’s culinary traditions but also demonstrated its commitment to innovation and excellence. The Greek agri-food sector continues to thrive, connecting the world to the unmatched quality and flavours of Greece.
