SIAL Talks: A strong commitment to CSR at SIAL Paris 2024

SIAL is much more than a trade event. With its SIAL Talks programme, it is a genuine catalyst for change, highlighting Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. Among this year’s key conferences, the session dedicated to biodiversity is expected to attract particular attention.

On Monday 21 October, from 1:30p.m. to 2:00p.m., Hall 5A will be hosting a unique conference. Noe, a non-governmental organization (NGO) focused on biodiversity protection, and Barilla, a leader in the food industry, will be sharing their experience of working together. This alliance aims to develop production models that are compatible with the preservation of biodiversity. The partnership between Noe and Barilla focuses on supporting biodiversity-friendly farming practices.

Explore, experiment, deploy

Pauline Lavoisy, Biodiversity Programme Manager at Noe, and Fabien Guillot, Cereals Purchasing Manager at Barilla France, will explain how they are exploring possibilities and experimenting with innovative solutions. Their objective is clear: to deploy sustainable agricultural practices that support biodiversity while meeting food production needs.

Promoting CSR actions to consumers

Hyssop, an agency specialising in CSR consultancy, will also be taking part in the conference and showing how to promote this type of action to consumers. Hyssop, which is also working with SIAL on the SIAL for Change award, will be highlighting strategies for communicating effectively about sustainable initiatives and engaging consumers in this movement.
