Indonesia’s Kalbe puts Hydro Coco on wider international footing

Indonesian pharmaceuticals group, Kalbe, brought its consumer brand Hydro Coco to SIAL Paris 2022 in order to source contacts for wider global distribution. Launched more than a decade ago, the 100% real coconut water brand has become well-known in its home market, and the franchise has been extended to include coconut milk and no added sugar lines, the latter launched this year. Hydro Coco is now exported to around 12 countries and is continuing to look for new ones. Senior brand manager in Kalbe’s international division, Geby Yusianti, told SIAL Daily: “We are prominent in Middle East markets like the UAE and Qatar, and also available in several Asian countries. At the show we were looking for new export partners specifically in Europe but also to extend our reach in the Middle East.”
