Spain’s OliBa green beer took the top prize in the alcoholic beverages category at the SIAL Paris 2022 Innovation Awards. The winning line, called The Empeltre One made naturally with olives from Lower Aragon is the second launch from the Catalonia-based olive oil producer, owned by agricultural holding Costa Food Group since January 2022. Ivan Caelles, CEO of OliBa Green Beer, told SIAL Daily: “We have had a lot of interest in the brand and we signed deals with companies in Belgium, Israel and Kazakhstan during the show.” OliBa is now working on its third olive beer launch which will be a zero alcohol line.
