SIAL Paris has come at just the right time for Mifroma because, earlier this month, Brigand du Jorat was named the Swiss champion in the semi-hard cheese category at the 13th Swiss Cheese Awards in Lugano. Known for its tender texture, savoury flavour, and distinctive fir-tree rind, Brigand du Jorat stood out among the competition. Mifroma says that its cheesemakers remain dedicated to protecting the natural beauty of the Jorat region in Switzerland by actively supporting local environmental and cultural projects. That mission has also been extended to the US through an initiative to plant over 3,300 trees in collaboration with the Arbor Day Foundation.
