What distinguishes Andriani’s gluten-free pasta from other products on the market? How have you maintained a competitive edge in the healthy food sector since the company was founded?

Andriani’s Felicia gluten-free pasta stands out due to its worth in using naturally gluten-free raw materials like legumes and cereals, ensuring a product rich in nutrients such as protein, fiber, and minerals. This focus on quality, alongside a diverse range of pasta types, caters to health-conscious consumers and those with specific dietary needs. Since its founding, Andriani has maintained a competitive edge through innovation in both product development and sustainable practices, which align with growing consumer demand for healthy and environmentally responsible food products

How is Andriani trying to contribute to environmental sustainability and what steps are you taking to achieve carbon neutrality by 2025?

Andriani is deeply committed to environmental sustainability, leading initiatives such as the creation of the largest sustainable dried legume supply chain in Italy, with the goal of protecting biodiversity and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The company has set an ambitious goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2025. This involves implementing energy efficiency measures, reducing waste, and investing in renewable energy sources. It is also engaged in projects and other environmental conservation efforts to offset its carbon footprint.

Can you tell us about Andriani’s initiatives in Ethiopia and India and how these projects align with your mission as a Benefit Corporation and B Corp?

Andriani’s projects in Ethiopia and India reflect its commitment as a Benefit Corporation and B Corp not only to economic impact, but also to social and environmental impact. These initiatives often focus on supporting local agricultural practices, improving food security, and promoting sustainable development in these regions. By engaging with local communities, Andriani is helping to improve living conditions and promote sustainable agriculture, which is in line with its broader mission to create positive impacts throughout its value chain.

How does Andriani integrate research and innovation into its production process, and what new projects or innovations are you excited about in the near future?

Research and innovation are at the core of Andriani’s business, leading to continuous improvement in product quality and sustainability. The company is working with universities and research centers to develop new products with naturally gluten-free raw materials that meet the highest health and taste standards. It is also exploring innovative agricultural practices and new raw materials to improve the nutritional value and environmental sustainability of its pasta. Upcoming plans include further expansion into organic and plant-based products, reflecting the growing market trend toward health-conscious eating, as well as the more challenging project of opening a production plant in Canada.

What strategic partnerships has Andriani entered into to further its sustainability and social responsibility goals, and how do these partnerships benefit both the company and the communities involved?

Andriani has entered into several strategic partnerships to promote its sustainability and social responsibility goals. In particular, the company has partnered with X Farm, a leader in agricultural technology, to improve the traceability of its supply chain and promote regenerative agriculture. This collaboration allows Andriani to monitor and optimize the entire production process, ensuring that its pasta is produced sustainably and transparently from field to table. The use of digital tools provided by X Farm helps to improve farming practices, reduces environmental impact and supports farmers in adopting more sustainable methods. These initiatives benefit Andriani by ensuring more sustainable, high-quality products and supporting the farming communities involved in their supply chain.
