Food’Loire and the Pays de la Loire Region launch new digital platform for exports

TastyLoire is the name of a new digital platform launched by Food’Loire and Pays de la Loire at SIAL Paris 2022.

The platform will offer support and resources to regional companies from Pays de la Loire in France, who are looking to expand into international markets. TastyLoire will offer companies in the agri-food and viticulture sector a platform to present themselves to international buyers and importers.

Companies that intend to join TastyLoire are invited to complete a presentation sheet, along with descriptions about products and services that they wish to export. After validation from Food’Loire, the companies are given direct access and contact to international buyers and importers. The platform only just launched, and already over 100 products from 60 companies have been registered.

“From fine bubbles to fishing, through agriculture, Pays de la Loire region is characterised by its diversity of production. This versatility and know-how make the region attractive and contribute to its reputation,” says an official statement.

“The Loire-Atlantique, Mayenne, Maine-et-Loire, Sarthe and Vendée are all areas that abound in internationally recognised specialities, which have made the Pays de la Loire famous.”

Among the companies featured on TastyLoire is Maison Gaborit, a company founded by farmer, producer and dairy specialist Bernard Gaborit. The company has been described as a pioneer in organic farming since 1979, “based on respect for nature, animals and people.”

Another company is Muroise et Compagnie, producers of “adventurous artisan jam,” with over 40 flavours. The company uses 100% natural ingredients, like brown cane sugar, and fruits are worked on by hand. The jam collection is offered to buyers in 220g and 350g jars, with a range of 950g jars especially for the hotel trade.
