World’s Largest Food Innovation Community Gathers to Address Global Challenges
The European Institute of Innovation and Technology’s (EIT) largest food innovation community, EIT Food, is gearing up for its highly anticipated Annual Event in Riga, Latvia on 27-28 June 2023. This groundbreaking event, the first of its kind in the Baltic region, will bring together stakeholders from across the food innovation community to unlock barriers and drive systemic change.
With a focus on transforming food systems and addressing global food and climate challenges, this year’s event promises interactive sessions, thought-provoking panel discussions, and valuable networking opportunities. EIT Food, supported by the European Union, aims to demonstrate the power of innovation in reshaping the future of food.
Renowned experts and influential voices in the field will take the stage as speakers during the event. Notable individuals include Dr Kari Tronsmo, Open Innovation Leader at Danone; Acacia Smith, Senior Policy Manager at the Good Food Institute; Professor Nigel Scollan, Director of the Institute for Global Food Security; and Dr Andy Zynga, CEO of EIT Food.
The Annual Event will feature a range of sessions covering key topics such as empowering farmers to lead the transition to sustainable farming practices, with a particular emphasis on amplifying the voices of food producers. One highlight of the event will be the showcase of the newest cohort of startups participating in EIT Food’s entrepreneurship programs.
