SIAL Innovation, renowned for setting trends within the food and beverage industry, once again provided attendees with a wealth of expert knowledge on global market developments and innovation at its 2023 event in Shanghai. With over 600 products participating, 118 were selected for their innovative qualities, 11 reached the finals, and 3 were honoured with the prestigious gold, silver, and bronze awards.
The award-winning products are set to be showcased across 12 cities as part of the SIAL NETWORK, a global series celebrating culinary innovation.
For the SIAL Innovation 2023 prize in Shanghai, the finalists comprised a range of different products with some of the top key features including black ingredients for colour, taste and functionality; a Hawthorn-containing product, used as an ingredient or as the main product; plant-based products; fermented or yoghurt-based products featuring pre- and probiotics; and indulgent products with a focus on multi-layered textures.
